WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY
“I had an awesome day on the water. As a beginner, he did a great job teaching me the basics of fly fishing while making the whole experience fun and easy to follow. We landed over two dozen fish, and I learned a ton. He had a laid-back personality but was professional and focused on making sure we had a successful day. I’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!”

“Hands down the best fly fishing guide out there. I’ve had the pleasure of fishing with Zac on a personal trip and also working with him to plan a corporate event, and he has been exceptional every time. He’s knowledgeable, communicative, and always offers helpful pointers while making sure everyone feels comfortable and has a great experience on the water. Whether it’s helping anglers land trout or creating a memorable group outing, Zac goes above and beyond to take care of his clients. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an incredible fly fishing experience.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all. Many of our guests have never picked up a fly rod before. We'll teach you everything you need to know—from casting to landing your first trout—at a pace that's comfortable for you. If you're an experienced angler, we'll tailor the day to help you improve your skills and target quality fish.
-
We provide everything you'll need for a successful day on the water, including fly rods, reels, flies, leaders, nets, and all other fishing equipment. Cold bottled water is included on every trip, and full-day trips include lunch. All you need to bring is weather-appropriate clothing, polarized sunglasses, and a valid Georgia fishing license with a trout stamp if you're 16 or older.
-
Our Half-Day Float Trip is perfect if you're new to fly fishing or short on time.
The ¾-Day Float Trip is our most popular option, giving us more time to fish multiple sections of the river and focus on improving your skills.
The Full-Day Float Trip offers the most relaxed experience and allows us to cover more water while taking a break for lunch along the way. We only recommend full day trips fall through spring.
If you're unsure which trip is right for you, feel free to call or text me and I'm happy to help.
-
Safety always comes first. We fish in light rain, but if weather or river conditions make the trip unsafe, we'll work with you to reschedule or provide a full refund.
-
Absolutely. Fly fishing is a great way to introduce kids to the outdoors. We generally recommend ages 10 and older, but younger anglers may be a great fit depending on their interest and attention span. If you're unsure, give me a call and we can talk through the best option for your family.
-
Our standard float trips are designed for one or two anglers. If you have a larger group, reach out and we'll do our best to coordinate additional guides when available.
-
You're not just booking a fishing trip—you're booking a local guide who spends hundreds of days each year on these rivers. Every trip is personally tailored to your experience level, whether your goal is learning to cast, catching your first trout, or simply spending a memorable day outdoors with family and friends.
Our goal isn't just to help you catch fish. It's to give you one of those days you'll still be talking about years from now.
MEET YOUR GUIDE
I’ve spent years guiding anglers on the Toccoa River and helping people experience one of North Georgia’s most beautiful places.
Whether you’re chasing your first trout or looking to improve your fly fishing, my goal is simple: make sure you have a fun, relaxed day on the water.
If you have any questions before booking, don’t hesitate to call or text me directly.
